The problem
New starters were meeting patients before they had seen a consistent handover, escalation path, or the systems they would touch on night shift. The old induction was a two-day room and a shared drive.
What was made
- A two-week online pathway with short lessons and a branching handover scenario
- Demonstration films for the three systems people actually open
- A facilitator guide for the day-three skills session
- A manager dashboard for who is cleared to start a shift
Still running
The studio hosts the pathway, recuts a film when a screen changes, and sits in on one session a month.
